Meet Emily
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
I am a registered dietitian nutritionist, integrative and functional nutrition certified practitioner and certified leap therapist with a master’s degree in nutritional science. I have experience as a credentialed elementary school teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and also taught nutrition at California State University, Long Beach.
Beyond the classroom, I developed and published research regarding dietary modification for patients with Meniere’s disease. I completed my dietetic clinical internship at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Over the years, I have provided individualized nutrition therapy at various hospitals and clinics.
As someone with celiac disease, in an effort to have a positive impact on the celiac community, I served on the Board of Directors for Celiac Disease Foundation from 2014-2020.
In 2014, I established Luxford Nutrition, a medical nutrition therapy practice dedicated to improving health through dietary awareness. I help people like you learn how to eat for improved health and symptom management, so you can feel better and find joy in life again.
As a Result of working with a dietitian, you will:
